I grew up in Palatine, Illinois, and earned my undergraduate degree from Eastern Illinois University. After college, I began my teaching career in Hawaii on the island of Kauai. It was an incredible place to start my career and gave me the opportunity to experience a new culture, community, and way of life while beginning my journey as an educator.

I spent the majority of my teaching career at Paramount High School in Paramount California, where I taught for 15 years. Those years were an important part of my growth as an educator and provided me with countless rewarding experiences working with students, families, and fellow educators. For the past three years of my career, I taught in Arizona, where I continued to enjoy working with students and growing professionally.

Eventually, my family and I decided to relocate to Fort Collins. One of the biggest reasons for the move was the opportunity to provide our three young boys with the excellent educational opportunities offered through Poudre School District. We were also drawn to Fort Collins because of our love for the outdoors. Fishing, hiking, camping, and exploring are all things our family enjoys, so Colorado felt like a natural fit for us.

We absolutely love Rocky and Fort Collins. We feel incredibly fortunate to have made the move and to be part of such a great community. I am excited to continue my journey in education, bring my years of experience into the classroom, and become an active part of the Rocky community.
